Cozy Reading aims at promoting a positive emotional response to reading, and reading interactively in such a way that children view reading as a pleasant activity Cozy Reading is: informal reading to young children reading to 2 -3 children at one time conversational familiar stories revisited offered in JK & SK classes within Halton Schools making a difference in the life of a child Volunteers are needed to read to children in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere.  Our aim is to get children "hooked" on reading.

Volunteers need to:

• have a genuine interest in working with young children
• enjoy reading to children
• be dedicated and committed
• be available during school hours
• provide a Police Record Check
• attend training sessions & book exchanges
