NURSERY SCHOOL

Our Discovery Station Nursery School program is licensed under the Day Nurseries Act. Each location is inspected annually by the Ministry of Education. The Day Nurseries Act contains requirements specific to staff qualifications and ratios, program content and equipment.

We are currently accepting registrations for Fall 2012. 

Here is a new program that will be available in September:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at NSR-Main 

If you are interested in registering your child, please pick up a Discovery Station Nursery School registration package or download (click on the booklet to the left).  Submit registration forms with payment to our NSR-Main location by the deadline.

 

After reading the booklet, you'll need to fill out the following forms:

The deadline to have your child’s registration form in is Tuesday, February 7th.

Discovery Station Nursery School offers:

  • Programs for Toddlers (18 to 30 months) and Preschoolers (2½ to 5 years)
  • Activities that will enhance your child's natural curiosity and love of knowledge
  • Weekly themes that include the environment, earth, animals and other topics of interest
  • Staff that will meet with creative, intellectual, social and physical needs of your child

We offer:

  • Low child-teacher ratios
  • 2, 3 & 5 half day programs
  • Mornings, 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. & Afternoons, 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Three (3) locations: North Service Road - Main, Sixth Line, and Florence Drive
  • Special needs/integrated resource consultation provided by the Region of Halton

Quality First is a program of The Halton Resource Connection (THRC)

Quality First is an initiative providing all licensed child care programs in Halton region with the opportunity to participate in a developmental model for quality improvement.  Quality First is currently being offered to infant/toddler and preschool programs.

Quality First benefits parents through knowledge of quality indicators in child care and confidence selecting an environment committed to the development and delivery of quality child care.
